MISSING LINK

This is a cooperative organization. Each worker is part owner. This is reflected in the pride these folks have in their work. Attention to the customer, real concern and interest in what the customer needs and wants. All are evident in the service one receives at Missing Link.

From the Bike Repair Division to the "New Sales" store, everyone displays a genuine interest in their work and a love and knowledge of bicycles.

Thanks to James for making my room-mate for the Young At Heart Trip (Nadine), a very satisfied customer! After James tuned up and adjusted her bike, she felt as though she had a new bike, and because of the surprising efficiency of her bike, it seemed she had more power in her legs than she had ever dreamed of!

Without the fabulous help from the members of this organization, I don't think I would have found the bike I needed for my cross-country trip. I am only 4' 9" - finding the right frame for me was a challenge. But the folks at Missing Link customized a TREK bike for me that just fit the bill!
Thanks for all the help, attention and time you spent putting everything together for me; especially and particularly, Jamie Hopcia and Shawn Barthuli. These two, regardless of how busy they were, always took time to answer my many questions and concerns. They fashioned a bike for me, by changing, modifying, improving and customizing until it was perfect --- fit for royalty!

Please go to the special site for Shawn, whose life was cut short on June 12, 1999

SHAWN

Thanks also to all the workers at Missing Link, who always have a smile, a helping hand and LOTS of intormation for everyone ... especial thanks to Dan the Man Watson and to Rob-Service -Is-My-Middle-Name-Nelson!

This neighborhood gym has provided some very basic, but necessary cross-training in preparation for the trip.
On a first visit to the gym (sans any documentation as to the authenticity of my request) David Permanna (never having seen me before) was so gracious and welcoming to my idea of getting some "free" time in the last three weeks before my trip.
"No problem, here's a one-week free pass. When it expires, come see me again and I'll give you another."
The facilities at this center are modern and up-to-date. It seems there's always something going on there. They have an extensive and inclusive aerobics program, and intensive abdominal exercise classes. Afro Aerobics, Circuit, and Street Funk (the latest streeet dance moves to hip-hop and rap) keeps this high energy class jumping!
